Coollector and Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

Tue Nov 27, 2012 3:29 pm

Coollector won't work with Snow Leopard if you download it from the normal places like MacUpdate.com, the Mac App Store, etc....

It's because, in order to work fine with GateKeeper, the app is now signed with our developper ID, but unfortunately in the process we've had to switch to XCode 4, which broke the compatibility with Snow Leopard.

If you're still using Snow Leopard and don't want to upgrade your system right now, you must use this special version of Coollector:

Oh, I just compiled on my old Macbook that still has Snow Leopard. Well, it'll be a bit of extra work for each release

The pity is that's supposed to work with Snow Leopard even when compiled with XCode 4. I set the target to "10.6" as required, and I don't call any new API (as shown by the fact that it compiles fine with XCode 3).

XCode is such a turd. I hate working with it. Drove me crazy more than once

Oh. In that case just double the dosage of whatever your psychiatrist gave you the last time...
