I am trying out Coollector and want to scan my collection which is primarily .tivo files. The scanner
does not recognize this file type. I notice that MovieManagerPro does allow addition file types.

Is this a planned feature?

If it were a feature, then the next issue is the movie name. My file names come in the format for example:

"12 Angry Men (Recorded Feb 29, 2008, TCM).TiVo"

I would like to have the "(Recorded Feb 29, 2008, TCM)."
ignored when creating a movie name from the file name.

Any chance for this?

Dan..

Thank you for your feedback. I had never thought before about adding .tivo to the list of recognized video file extensions, but it's super easy to do. And if there are other file extensions that I should add, you just tell me.

Please replace your Coollector.exe file with the one inside this zip:

http://www.coollector.com/Coollector.zip

and confirm that the menu "Tools->Scan my video files" now works fine with your Tivo files.

The scanning algorithm eats names like that for breakfast :D

It'll be ignored by the scanning algorithm, and remain untouched in the "location" field. :V:

Thanks! It worked fantastically

Even the titles are correct! I think this application looks like a winner. It is exactly what I was looking for. With several hundred movies, I wanted a way to quickly sort through for the well rated ones. Also, by genre, artist or directory is great.

Thanks, again. Looks like I better activate the license.

Don't forget to always check the scan results, just in case. It's easier to fix a problem before adding, rather than after.

Unless I'm proven wrong, I think we have the best file scanner on the market
