I tried many times, and the most that I could get was 49 Mb.

I think the files are too big for http protocol, at least on your servers. Probably a timeout issue

That could be the case. I have had no reason to upload such large files to that website in the past.

Don't worry, as I said I still have them. I can leave a computer on to upload them somewhere else. Also I am PM'ing a login to the ftp to you.

I'm about 25% into downloading the large movie posters, so far I have 21,952 posters (about 1Gb) this contains large images for all movies with popularity>=42% . That means that the zips for all large posters will be about 4Gbs. What do you think? should I stop the bot here, get large posters for all movies, or do both and have 2 sets of large poster zips (1Gb & 4Gb).

edit: I'm not sure the extra 3Gbs will be worth it since none of those movies are very popular. Most people will probably be satisfied with the small version of the Images for the less popular movies. > Uploading...

Ideally, it would be great if there was several sets of zip files to choose from:

Set 1: the small images of all the movies.

Set 2: the big images of the first third of most popular movies.

Set 3: the big images of the second third.

Set 4: the big images of the last third.

Next would be 41% to 24%, then 23% to 0%, not exactly thirds but kinda close. Unless I re-zip and re-upload last nights files.

Exact thirds is 100%-36%, 35%-21%, 20%-0% I guess I'll just re-upload. Will need to use another computer when its time to upload though. It slows up my net.

Don't bother. It's a detail if it's exact thirds or not.

It will still take just as long to download. And I'll have to use another computer anyways. Such large uploads would mess with the image downloading if done at the same time. So now that I think about it it doesn't seem to be such a big Issue.
