The formula for calculating the Top Rated Movies

Sat Jan 11, 2014 11:30 pm

Happy New Year !
You Know there is a formula for calculating the Top Rated Movies in IMDB:
Weighted Rating (WR) = (V ÷ (V+m)) × R + (m ÷ (V+m)) × C
where:
R = average for the movie (mean) = (Rating)
V = number of votes for the movie = (Votes)
m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 250 (currently 25000)
C = the mean vote across the whole report (currently 7.0)

Now Is it possible to Use a formula that calculate the Weighted Rating for ALL MOVIES in Coollector DataBase?

Have a Good Time and Thank You.

Thank you for this interesting suggestion. Yes, technically, it's quite doable.

I add it to my todo list, but don't hold your breath... There are many other improvements that I consider as more prioritary.
