When I scan my files for tt0103524 it always is recognized as tt0276830.

What's the name of the file, and the name of the folder it's in?

I've just made the test with this file name, and it's correctly associated to the series.

If the file name didn't contain the year 1992, then the file would indeed be associated with the movie, because the movie has more IMDb votes than the series.

But as soon as you add the year to the file name, then the file is correctly associated to the series.

Does it answer your problem?

That makes sense but for some reason it is not working for me. I added a screen shot. Maybe you can tell me what I did wrong from it.

The scanning tries to identify the file name, and if it can't recognize it, only then it'll use the folder name.

On your screenshot, we can see that the file name was used, and that it doesn't contain the year.

You have the choice between 2 options:

Option 1: click the button "rename file" and add the year to the file name.

Option 2: click the button "use folder name" (straightforward, takes just one click, but you'll have the same problem again if for some reason you have to rescan the files).

Ah, ok Thank You!

I have already tried option 2, so I guess I will have to rename the individual files. Aaaaak!

What? Option 2 didn't work? Sounds like a bug! I will make the test...

I've clicked the button "use folder name" for 1 file, and the program asked me if I wanted to use the folder name for all the other files too. I said "yes" and all the files were associated to the series instead of the movie.

Works great in my opinion! What went wrong for you?

I am not sure what when wrong when I tried before - 3 times actually but after renaming the folder - then closing program then putting back to original then a reboot of PC, it worked. I have no Idea why, but the issue is now resolved - Thank You for your help and patience it is greatly appreciated.
