The version 4.5.6 introduced a better and faster online publishing that can be searched for titles and years. It should work great on desktop, tablet and mobile. To get the new link of new design, you have to publish your coollection with the new version (you'll have to change your signature).

Here's mine:

Would be a nice Christmas present :-)

Is it possible to use the online published html page "for the time being" to add
movie-location information ?
This way it would be possible, using the index, to start movies by clicking the
movie thumbnail in my browser....

I'm sorry things didn't go as smoothly as I expected :worried:

That wouldn't work. Your browser can play video files from the internet, but it can't play video files from your hard disk.

It's not possible just like that but i found a workaround once. You need to know how to code web pages from scratch though. I've done it in the past where i set up a rudimentary streaming site. If you're familiar enough with coding and the locations are still available in JSON files then it could be done... (The system that works as a webserver will need to remain on while you stream files though). VLC can play a variety of files over a network stream so many filetypes would work with devices that have it installed, but if you are using the browser only to play files you would need to make sure the files are compatible. When testing years ago I was using 802.11g wireless and there was no issue streaming a 16gb bluray rip.

According to Kakashi, it's not completely impossible, but it requires what looks like a horrible hack. The proper solution is of course to have an Android app, and that's what I will focus on.

For the time being, a temporary solution would be very nice.
Now, i MUST start my computer, start the database, force my wife to sit beside me and read the plots :-) , and then go downstairs to start the movie using my MiniX.

Opening the index from Kakashi on MiniX, clicking the poster, reading the contents and then starting the movie from the index file (maybe clicking an inserted location link) would be great for now....

In my case, the NAS and HDD's are connected and up running all the time, the location never changes.

grtz

I quite understand the need for an Android app, and I can't wait to have one.

About the hack described by Kakashi, I'm sorry but I don't plan to implement it.

Hmmm,

I only understand the words you are writing, unfortunately not the meaning
of the whole sentences :D
