Hi Hector,

when i search for f.e. "thriller" then i like to find movies ONLY containing "thriller" as genre.
now i get a result of 744 movies containing "thriller"

The movie listed below is hardly a triller

is there a way to change this result so only thrillers are shown?
Maybe making a exclude "fantasy" - "adventure" - "sci-fi" - "drama" filter where we can define
the movies that we don't want as a result?

Sorry, I've missed your message (for several days my news feed client was mistakenly disabled).

About your question, I think It's just a minor annoyance but fixing it would require a complex solution because most movies have several genres. Not worth it in my opinion.

Yes, that could be the solution, but it would be imperfect because you'd have to exclude several genres. You've have to set several negative filters, it would be ugly and bloated.

You are forgiven :D

I do not agree...

As you see in the screenshot is the "genre" filter absolutely useless if the result
gives me 744 movies containing thriller. If you search for sci-fi it is good if you have
an option "sci-fi- adventure" or "sci-fi-horror", the result would be totally different and
reduces the result dramatically to only that what you are really looking for.

How the program wil look like including all "excludes" i can imagine, not good!

Thats why i think :
1st filter "thriller" (result movies containing ONLY the thriller genre)
if no result
2nd filter "drama" (result movies containing ONLY thriller & drama)
if no result
3rd filter "horror" (etc.)

I am sure with 1, 2 or max. 3 filters, the right movies will be shown, not
744 movies like BRAVE

This is not the behavior average users are expecting. As I said, few movies have only 1 genre.

Too complex a solution for such a minor issue.

When you look at the results and the vast majority is what you expect, you're not SHOCKED when you stumble on Brave. You just skip it.

Skipping "and checking 744" 720 movies to find the 24 movies that i want to find,
thats a lot of scrolling. Normally i know what i want to see, having reduced my collection
from 4000 to 2500 movies makes the searching in case i don't remember the movie name
faster.

I understand your problem, so forget about it.
