Program Suggestion

Mon Jun 08, 2020 1:15 pm

I am still missing the ability of adding not listed imdB movies, music videos, home videos etc. to the program.

One smart member suggested the use of an unused icon under "home videos" from the pulldown menu and to add your own movie.

In this respect, would it be possible to create a section (under whatever suitable title) and add a number of empty icons (maybe a hundred to start with) named 1,2,3,4 etc.?

We could then add our own movies and videos by creating a link from the blank icon to the movie.

Generally speaking, and having tried many other programs, this Coollector program is outstanding and does the job in a very efficient and quick manner.

But as a movie collector I would like to see an option to add the aforementioned. Otherwise the listing of my collection would be incomplete.

Coollector will never be able to manage you home videos, birthday parties, summer holidays, etc...

About music videos, if you don't have too many and they're listed on IMDb, you can request them and I'll close my eyes.

About movies missing from the IMDb, you have to ask the IMDb to add them:

Someone found a workaround at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1668.

All it takes is adding some additional blank posters.

It's possible that at some point I'll improve the posters feature, allowing multiple posters, chosen by the user. Unfortunately for you it's a low priority improvement.
