Pressing the F5 key will remove from your hard disk all the pictures currently displayed on your screen, forcing them to be re-downloaded from the servers.

When you see a wrong picture, you can use the F5 key to know if it has been corrected or not.

It's one of the keyboard shortcuts ;)

by the way, speaking on shortcuts
are you planning to add in the future a shortcut for playing local videos?
that would be pretty useful for those who manage everything with the keyboard
having to switch from the keyboard to the mouse to click on the button can not be practical sometimes

thanks

I don't know, do you have a suggestion?

https://www.coollector.com/help.html#disk

Like a media center, it's possible to control the program with a PC remote:

"play" or "OK" => play the selected movie

Instead of a PC remote, you want a keyboard shortcut? What shortcut would you suggest?

the play button is ok for associating files or playing videos manually
but in addition I suggest including a shortcut let's say ALT + P
which plays the video selected without showing a dropdown list
because I personally control all my apps remotely but also I'd like to be able to launch my default video player, directly from the Coollector movie library without a mouse click

if possible

Considering the other shortcuts, I think Control + P would be more logical. I know it's a shortcut usually associated with printing, but Coollector doesn't do printing.

How do you select a video with only the keyboard?

well I suppose that is possible by typing the name of the movie, then browse the library using the arrows and once selected the desired movie, play it by pressing CTRL + P as you suggested

i see it more practical that way, than pointing with the cursor, and clicking the dropdown list.

I guess so

Oh, I see. When you said "select the video", I thought you meant in the case where a same movie (or series most likely) is associated with several video files.

Hey, I've added the Control + P shortcut for the next version.

The "play" feature I made a very long time ago, and completely forgot how it worked. It's actually quite nice! First if you're not on a playable movie, it'll list all the playable movies. After you've selected a movie, if there's only 1 video file, it's played directly. If there's more, the dropdown menu of the play icon is shown, and you can arrow down to the video you want to play. Not bad!

in my opinion the Play Button is fine in that case you mentioned, where multiple videos are associated to the same Production, and you need to decide which one to play.

Saying that it's not neccesary to replace anything, my suggestion is to incorporate an alternative option to play the movies through keystrokes.

I think both methods could coexist.

what I find a little annoying is the fact that even with a single video file associated, a pop-up menu is always shown.

with a shortcut which plays the first video file available, that issue would be avoided.

again, just a suggestion.

I think you didn't understand my message. I've implemented Control + P and it works great, even better than I thought it would.

Probably tomorrow, it'll be an anticipated bug fix release, because some serious bugs have been discovered.
