There's two parts to this:

1. Is it possible for Coollector to recognise the seasons on the main infobox, example:

Could that be changed to show that Ted Lasso has 3 seasons?

2. If it is possible, would it be possible to make a filter for shows with X episodes, or more than X episodes or even by amount of seasons?

The intent is to concisely visualize your level of completion, the intent isn't to show the number of episodes or the number of seasons, you can click to get that information. In my opinion your level of completion is a more useful information.

For several reasons episodes are better than seasons to measure your progress. A lot of series are not well split into seasons... Mini-series don't really have seasons... It happens that you give up on a series well before having watched a whole season...

But you got me thinking and sometime in the future I'll display the number of seasons (when it makes sense) between the running time and the genre. For example:

Friends (1994-2004) ... | 22 min | 10 seasons | comedy, romance | ...

Unfortunately it's not possible because episode information isn't included in the database, it's like the pictures, it's downloaded as you browse. That keeps the database smaller and allows for more frequent updates.

Yeah that's more or less what I meant.

I didn't realise episode data was downloaded as you browse in terms of filtering tho

When you browse a series for the very first time, for a second it'll display only "series", until episode data is downloaded.

When it's a series you've already browsed, previous episode data was saved on disk, but occasionally you might see it updated before your eyes.

It'll be available with the next update, thanks for the suggestion!

It won't count the upcoming seasons, only those that have aired or started airing.
