Portable images

What is the path for the actual .jpg location? Ive tried unzipping all over the places with no luck. I'm sure it's in images folder but then...? It's unzipping 3 more folder stages before it gets to the actual .Jpg file.

The images must be placed inside "Coollector\Images\MoviesDpt\"

For Windows XP and the normal version, the location is
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Coollector\Images\MoviesDpt\"

For Windows Vista/7/8 with the normal version, the location is
"C:\Users\Public\Documents\Coollector\Images\MoviesDpt\"

For example, here's the full path for the poster for Robocop 2:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Coollector\Images\MoviesDpt\Items\00\0010800.jpg

I'm running the cool portable version on an external 2fb ntfs formatted portable drive. Call it G drive. Not running cool on the computer itself that I'm accessing cool but it's windows 8 without internet access. Could you provide an example of that please? And is there a similar set of zips with actor photos?

Attached is what I've been trying. It sees the drive as local though...

So can i install the normal version on G: and put the files in the example you gave except substitute G: for C:

Or reformat the portable drive so windows sees it as a portable drive?

I think I know the answer, just not looking forward to the data shuffling

OMG

I've checked and now I understand why you have troubles. The zip contains 1000 folders from 000 to 999 when instead it should be 100 folders from 00 to 99. Of course you can't make it work!

I can't believe my eyes, a user created those zip files a couple of years ago in order to help and I've never realized that they were corrupted :(

I'm terribly sorry for your wasted efforts, next week I will create a brand new set of zip files.

Should of asked a month ago, couldn't even unzip till the 3rd time I downloaded. The ideal scenario would be to plug an external drive directly into a smart TV and cool would run but I digress. I'll keep an eye out for the update.

Very sorry about that. What was the problem? Is there something about the zip files that I could change to make it better. Is the multi-part 7zip file not good?

I think I'll keep the 7zip format as it gives great compression, but I won't make it multi-part.

Unfortunately Coollector won't work on Android :worried:

I've already recreated the set of movie posters:

https://www.coollector.com/images.html

Please tell me if everything's fine and if there's any way that I can make the process easier or better explained.

In the coming days, I'll add new sets of pictures for the persons, the characters and the DVDs.

Finally, as I'll release new versions of Coollector, I'll make available additional files with the latest pictures.

I've added the person and character sets. I've decided not to add the DVD set, there's about 1.5 million of them, it's not worth it.

Great, I'll give it a shot. My line of thinking was that I originally tried winzip to unzip. Wouldn't recognize as a compressed file on any program after I did that. Uninstaller everything including winzip and re-download and unzipped in 7z

Winzip is a legacy app with several issues. 7zip is much better!
