How is the 3.0 redesign coming along?

Currently , I'm making a profound reorganization of the interface. This reorganization will be available as soon as the next 2.78 version.

Then I'll create the skin system, and the person that created our new site design will create a few gorgeous default skins.

I'll also modify the grids, with user-adjustable number of columns and picture height. This will make it possible to have very visual layouts.

Version 3.0 should be available before the end of the summer.

Version 3.0 is still on track for a September release, after probably a short period of beta testing.

Great! Would it make sense to actually start creating our DVD database now and then have the new cover feature included after an upgrade to 3.0 or is it better to wait till the new version is out?

It's better to wait, because there'll be an automatic conversion. It'll be transparent. As soon as this feature becomes available, Coollector will associate your owned videos to the closest existing video (based on technical details). Of course, some associations will be wrong, but I think it'll help a lot.
