entering same movie more than once

Sun Aug 15, 2010 6:45 pm

I have a question regarding entering a movie more than once in my collection.

Many movies I have burned to DVD off of cable television so I add them using the green + symbol then I add the location such as 1 (binder number).

I also may have the same movie that I purchased from a store and enter as an existing video and in another location i.e. "shelf".

I noticed that when I look at the total count of my videos it does not allow to add more than one of these movies. If look at the "owned videos" of that movie it will show DVD x 2 but it will not increase the total of "Owned Videos" in the header at the top left of the page. Is there a way to change that so when I print my total inventory all movies, burned or purchased, are included in the total count.

thanks

Tony

Notice that the text is "You own videos of XXX movies and series". It's not "You own XXX videos of movies and series".

Because Coollector is fundamentally a movie database...

Even when you list your owned videos, the list remains a list of movies.

A movie is listed only once, even if you own several videos of it.

And when you'll click the list, the corresponding movie will be displayed, and there you'll see that you own several videos of that movie.

There's no way to change that, and I don't think there'll ever be.

Simply because it's contrary to the way Coollector is organized.
