Finding location by dvd

Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:20 am

I'm very impressed by this program at first glance, it seems to perform most of the actions I require. But I have one need that I can't seem to find addressed in the forums, or the Help pages.

I am using a basic DB system at the moment where I do all the information entries (very archaic!), where I assign a unique location identifier to each DVD I enter, so as to be able to go and find the DVD amongst the many I have.

Is there a process that will allow me to see this location when I examine a DVD in the "Owned Movies" area? I see there is provision to enter a location identifier in one of the additional filters offered. But I can't see any way to use this to allow me to find a DVD.

Apologies if I missed an answer in the Forums (I did look closely), or on the Help pages on the website.

TIA for any help anyone might be able to give.

Apologies to All

My bad - you can see I didn't explore E-V-E-R-Y option available on the screens.

This single feature option makes Coollector a state of the art entry in its genre.

Thanks.

Welcome tootsie, and thank you very much for your compliments !

Yes, you have to use the location field, and searching it with the location filter, a filter which isn't shown by default, you have to click the "more filters" button.
