Post subject:  Listing should contain label

If I record a film or documentary on DVD, which I do quite frequently, I would like to be able to label the jewel box and see the labeling in the listing. Momentarily I get around the problem by assigning EVERY film or program to a "pack". The "packs" are numbered sequentially. This allows me to easily find a disk with a particular film or program (you really should allow "free" entries for movie titles or other programs 8) ) among dozens of disks.
Still, I need the program to run to find a disk  It would be much easier to just look it up in the listing.

Among the technical details that describe your owned videos, there's a field called "labelling". You can input whatever label you like, to quickly locate your video.

ex: "1", "2", "3", etc... if you number your DVDs with small stickers on them
ex: "Cabinet 2, Shelf 1, Slot 8"
ex: "big wooden chest in the attic"

Creating packs was a good idea, but you might prefer this solution.

And is it really necessary to display this information in the listing ?

The database is meant to become exhaustive. If a user misses a movie, even a TV movie, it will be added to the database.

On the longer term, it is planned to manage other types of collections: music, books, and video games. Those are the main types. There will be others, like "adult movies", "miscellaneous movies" (documentaries, yoga, travel, learning, etc...), "home videos" (videos shot with your family), etc... This last type, "home videos", is rather special, as it won't be associated with a global database. In last resort, if you record programs on TV that don't fit any of those collection types, "home videos" could do the trick.

Tell me what you think, is it satisfactory ?

At the bottom of the movie panel, there's "owned videos" and "available videos" (available videos points to the various editions that are known to exist).

Click on "owned videos" to see the technical details of the video you own.

You can also click on "available videos" to see their technical details.

The easiest way to input a video you own, is to select it in "available video", and then click the "add" button. This way, you get the technical details without having to input them.
