Tomorrow I will release a new version of the program. I can include new extensions to the scanning algorithm.

But please tell me more about those extensions. I'd appreciate an example.

Is BDMV a file extension, or a folder name like VIDEO_TS ? Does it contain several *.m2ts files ?

This is a rip from a blu-ray disk, BMDV is like VIDEO_TS but with more folders inside. The folder BMDV\stream contains the movie file stored as a mt2s

Also the movie could be placed into a AVCHD Folder :

Always a single mt2s file ? Or there can be more ?

Does the media player launch if you pass it the BDMV folder ? Or must you pass the mt2s file ? Or maybe pass "index.bdmv" or "MovieObject.bdmv" ?

Something curious.

When i use vlc to play all the files from a folder the window title is usually based on the file name.

When I select a folder like my district 9 folder above it takes the name of the folder instead of the current file playing as it usually does.

Also the playlist shows the folder name and not the files.

When the folder contains avi files they are shown as seperate videos but when the folder contains m2ts files all files are recognized as 1 video and given the name of the folder like with

VTS_01_1.VOB

Yes, Coollector does the same with VIDEO_TS folders, and will do the same with BDMV and AVCHD folders.

Does the blu-ray contain .VOB files ? Inside which folder ?

It's not more parts, it's different parts. The first Stream folder had one m2ts file, and this one has two mts files.

What media player do you use ? What file do you point it to ?

There are no Vob. files. I should have written:

When the folder contains avi files they are shown as seperate videos but when the folder contains m2ts files all files are recognized as 1 video and given the name of the folder.

simular to vob files taking the name of their folder as in the case of
VTS_01_1.VOB

Ok, thanks.

Then I'll pass the BDMV to the media player. And to identify which media player I should use, I'll use the one associated with the m2ts extension.

Tomorrow I'll build a version for you to test.
