Nice program. I've been trying to find something to replace Movienizer since it is no longer free. This program just about does it but..... I keep all my DVDs in discgear cases which hold 120 discs. Location works great to indicate which discgear case the DVD is in but there is no way to indicate which slot 1-120 the disc is in. A field for Disc # would be a huge help!

Thanks

The location field can hold any string. For instance "gear #11, disc #33", or "gear11#33" or "11#33" or whatever notation you want.

People seem to ask that question alot, :)
Maybe you can figure out a way to get people to understand...

Not yet. Our interface is evolving too much. Even our help section has outdated screenshots. In a few months, everything should stabilize.

Too bad :( . That probably has something to do with users not understanding the features.

Coollector isn't a basic program. It has some depth...

We put a lot of efforts to make it as accessible as possible, but nonetheless it may take some time to figure everything out.

Another issue is that it's radically different from everything that already exists. It may even be a drawback to be familiar with another video organizer program.

A video would help, that's for sure. A picture is worth a thousand words, and a video is several thousand pictures.

Some months ago, a user had posted a video on Youtube:

But at that time the program didn't have the new grids yet. And the interface is still about to change a little with version 3.

I understand how the program works and I realize I can do as was suggested with the location field however doing that pretty much renders the filtering ability on location useless since every DVD would have a unique value. The location field is handy to use to indicate which disc gear case the DVD is in then you can use it as a filter too. I can filter on 'Red' Disc Gear to show only DVDs that are in that particular case. No biggie I can do as suggested and make it work.
Thanks

I see. In that case, I think you should use the location field for the gear case, and use one of the detail fields for the disc number.
