Some one was asking: How about adding an option to sort movies by date? what do you think?

Ordering by year would be somewhat redundant, since we can already filter by year.

Only occasionally you'll be focused on years, and in that case you'll use the year filter, instead of changing your preferred order.

There's also a technical reason: we make the economy of maintaining another index for the years (such an index would be necessary, because reordering on the fly would be too slow with so many movies).

Probably I'll add this feature in the future, but it's not a priority since we already have the year filter.

In fact, some months back in the past, coollector was able to list all your movies in chronological order. I've had to remove that feature for technical reasons, I don't even remember exactly. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that those reasons don't exist anymore.
