Hi there, I use Coollector Portable and I love it. The program gets updated fairly regularly which is great but it would be nice if the updates retained my settings. Specifically, I turn off all the 'display best price' settings and 'automatically check for update' but they are always reset on a program update. It would also be cool if I could add my own artwork, for the movie and involved persons. Cheers and keep up the great work!!!!!

I wasn't aware of this problem. Thank you very much for your feedback.

I'll try to reproduce and fix this bug.

For the movies and persons that don't have any picture, your contributions are welcome:

You can also contribute if your pictures are a real improvement over those we have.

Thanks for your reply hector.

"I'll try to reproduce and fix this bug"

Of course, maybe it's just something to do with my computer. I would have thought other users would have mentioned this if it they were experiencing it. But I look forward to the results of your testing.

Cheers from New Zealand!!

I did try, but I couldn't reproduce this bug.

Please make a test and tell me if things are better:

1) Coollector must be closed.

2) open the file "Portable.txt".

3) delete all the text in it (but don't delete the file itself).

4) launch Coollector and modify the settings as you want.

5) close Coollector and launch it again to see if the settings were remembered.

6) I'm about to release a new version, so you'll soon be able to see if the update cancels your settings.

Awesome Hector, I'll check it out with the next update. However, I have had a thought. Did you just update via the program? I quite often download the updated version and install over the current version rather than update via the program. Do you think this could be the problem? And if so, can it be changed so the settings are retained when installing over a current version? Cheers yet again.

I'm 100% sure it's the explanation. Installing will replace Portable.txt by an empty one

I'll try.

I am requesting the option of downloading all the movie poster thumbnails for Collector at once. When I don't have internet access I am not able to see the posters for movies Ive never seen before.

My MoviesDpt folder is about 70Mb, I have no problems with it getting much larger.

(Currently trying to scroll through all popular movies from 2011 back to 2000)

Yes, it's on my todo list, as I've already said several times on this forum.

I wasn't scolding you. Sorry if I gave this impression.

Please keep in mind that this doesn't necessarily have to be a feature of coollector.

You already have a rather long todo list. For those few of us that would like to load all thumbnails I don't anyone would mind downloading a .rar or . zip from your site and overwriting our pics. All thats really needed is just a copy of the folder.

Yes, that's how it'll work.

That part still requires a lot of work on my part.

I'll have to create several zip files for the movies, for the persons, and for the videos. I'll have to place those files on the internet. Every month, I'll have to create new zip files with the new pictures. And that's only the obvious parts.

When I'll do it, I want to do it well.
