I am aware that you have many plans for Coollector and many features yet to be added. Do any of them solve this:

There are at least 3 movies (from 15-20 years ago) that I'm currently racking my brain trying to figure out the names of. I don't have any memories left of them except vague memories of the plots.

Is there any hope that one day I will be able to find these movies?

I see the scenario lots of times where people remember a really good movie but cant remember much other than the plot. It would be really cool if there was a way to find out the names of movies just by knowing what happened in them.

The best solution is to ask on a movie fans forum. I don't think any program will ever replace that.

Too bad there isn't this much info available for every movie in Coollector's database:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0150742/keywords

That would eliminate the need for forum membership, internet access, waiting for a reply or even hoping someone who logs in has actually watched and remembers that movie.

This might be inconvenient but when I think about it you're right, it really does seem to be wishful thinking to think that a program will ever replace this. Gathering so much information and creating a suitable search algorithm would be an almost impossible task. I guess that's why there isn't a program that does such thing. A forum draws its strength from the input and experience of it's many users and is truly a force to be reckoned with.
A single program can't be expected to compete with this.

Keywords are not the kind of information that I plan to add to our database. They would increase the download size, and in my personal opinion they're not worth it.

But the IMDb has a great search feature that's very close to your dream:

That's the problem with too much information. It will probably never be available offline. :(

This is a great feature that I will be using from time to time now that I know about It. Thanks very much!
(sadly I wasn't able to find what I was looking for this time)

It was a very popular action movie so chances are you've seen It. If you haven't it's inevitable that I will stumble upon it before too long since I use coollector almost every time i need to play a video file (which is very often).

Set in future
Caucasian male is famous computer genius
Designs a 3d hologram monitor.
Gets a contract with large corporation/government
Designs machine that sees the future
Has memory wiped
Goes to bank to withdraw cash
Finds only a few random objects left for him by himself
Tries to find out what he was hired to do
Breaks into lab
Random objects were just what he needed to save his life on multiple occasions

By the way, I noticed you mentioned quite a few online features in "What's your most anticipated feature ?". Does that include something like this?

Yes! Once again I must say, You are the best.

I still am not sure why this movie is in my head after so many years. Watching it again will make my day. Thanks.

The storyline you mention has to be "PayCheck" as CoolHector says. That story plot is from a Philip K Dick novel. No other movie has been made with that premise or it would be intellectual copyright infringement and plagiarism. There have been 9 movies made based on his works, and one more in production.

Here is a link to the page listing every movie made based on his novels...
