I installed v2.0 but all the images are missing - for both the movie and the actors.
Still missing, even after an update.

Did I miss something?

Background: when you download Coollector, the whole encyclopedia is included with the program, but not the images (there are gigabytes of images). The images are downloaded automatically, as you browse the encyclopedia.

Diagnosis: I'd say that your firewall prevents Coollector from connecting to the net. To confirm this diagnosis, just click Coollector's update button => you should get an error message saying that the program couldn't connect to the internet. Now, you'll have to adjust your firewall rules regarding Coollector.

It's not a special port. The first time Coollector have tried to connect to the internet, your firewall must have asked you what to do: set a rule to allow all the time, or set a rule to block all the time. You must look into your firewall settings to see if there's a rule that blocks Coollector.

If you can't adjust your firewall, tell us your firewall name, and we'll try to help you more :D

Sorry, I should have been more specific in my last post.
I download quite a bit, so my firewall is turned off. I was thinking that I might have needed a port openned on my router. I guess not though.

I have tried browsing the catalog, but the images are still missing. I see activity attempting to load the images, but it quickly times out.

I wonder if it is timing out because my router is soo busy... Is there a way to force a retry? Or increase the time-out period?

I appreciate your response. tks

Not necessarily. It only means that your firewall allows your peer to peer program to connect to the internet. But it blocks Coollector.

Probably your router is a router/firewall. You should look at your router settings.

What Windows are you using ? What is the model of your router ?

If anybody can help us, please do

It's standard http connection on port 80, like any browser.
