It's still strange that you're the only one affected, but I think that I have fixed this bug.

Please replace your Coollector.exe with this one

http://www.coollector.com/Coollector.exe

and tell me if it works or not.

Here is yet another test program:

Hopefully it will help me understand better...

That's horrible, what's happening seem impossible

I make A = B
I look at the value of A
I find that A is empty

How could this happen ?

Have you tried this test program on your 2 computers ? What have these computers in common ? Are they 64 bit or something ?

Maybe your coollection file has some weird corruption.

Please do this test:

1) close Coollector
2) rename your coollection from MyCoollection.cool into MyCoollection.cool.bak
3) start Coollector again => it will create a brand new coollection file
4) look if you still can't associate files.

Then go back:

5) delete MyCoollection.cool
6) rename MyCoollection.cool.bak into MyCoollection.cool

How come you're the only one affected ? Do your 3 computers have something exotic in common ? Do other users have the same problem ?

I'm sad to say that I give up, but there's no more test that I can think of :(

I also have PCs with XP sp3 or Windows 7... and Coollector... and no problem...

If at least some other users had the same problem, we might find some clue.

I've just fixed a bug for another user, and it seems likely that your problem has the same origin.

Please replace you Coollector.exe with this one:

http://www.coollector.com/Coollector.exe

and tell me if it helped.
