using image zip file offline

Fri Jul 29, 2011 7:03 am

Hi Hector

I downloaded the 8 part image zip file and extracted it to user/public/public documents/coollector/images
However when I open coollector with no internet connection all the images are blank. What am I doing wrong?
I tried renaming the folder public documents to documents but no different.

I am using windows 7 home premium.

Thanks

John :sos:

Sorry, in fact you must extract to ........../coollector/images/MoviesDpt

I will modify the information on the download page.

Hi Hector,

I have tried both MovieDpt and Movie as the folder in images but neither work

To be sure you're in the right place, can you see a folder user/public/public documents/coollector/Databases ?

Are you using the portable version ?

Yes the databases folder and the images folder are in the same folder
e.g ......documents\coollector\databases
.......documents\coollector\images\MovieDpt

No I am using the full version on my laptop

How can you see that it doesn't work ?

Are you online or offline ?

Have you tried restarting Coollector ?

When I am offline all the images appear as white rectangles except the first 8. when I scroll down all the rest are white rectangles.

When I am online moving circles appear as the images are loaded and then the images appear but offline nothing happens and no image appears.

I have tried restarting coollector and rebooting computer

Please make this test:

1) use the program online, and make it download some pictures that were empty before.

2) close the program and go offline.

3) use the program offline, and tell me if the pictures that were downloaded are showing or not.

The 6 pictures that loaded online were still there when I restarted offline but above and below them was blank

That confirms that the program correctly saves the pictures on your disk. We'll verify the location where they are saved:

1) close Coollector.
2) rename the folder MoviesDpt into MoviesDpt.bak.
3) use Coollector online, and make it download some pictures.
4) did Coollector create a new MoviesDpt folder ?
5) delete the new MoviesDpt and rename MoviesDpt.bak into MoviesDpt.

Do you have enough room left on your disk ?

We're talking about movie pictures, isn't it ?

The zip file contained the movie pictures, not the person pictures.

I have 363Gb free on my HDD

I don't have any blank images if I am online
they are only blank when I go offline and restart coollector

Yes coollector did create a new MovieDpt folder

in the downloaded and extracted MovieDpt folder there are 4 folders, items, media packs, medias and persons as well as a file named 0

In the items folder folders 00 to 99 are included there are typically only 1 or 2 images in each of these folders. earlier they were full of jpeg images I will delete the MovieDpt folder and extract it again

I downloaded the 8 Zip files on the download page I assume they were pictures
