For your consideration:

Let's say I start collecting a decade-old TV series with whatever is reasonably cheapest available.

Season 4 is bought and indicated in Coollector. In the right panel under owned videos, I get a poster of what season 4 should be. But there is no information directly that it is season 4 unless I visually compare the poster to what is available. And that may be two clicks away.

Season 2 becomes available and is added to the collection and now I have two posters without information directly that they are what they are.

When season 4 is again offered for sale, I have to compare the two posters to what is available just to make sure I don't buy a duplicate set.

Any idea or way the presentation of owned videos can be improved upon?

On a parallel note, if I print out a list of owned TV videos, I only get the title and no breakdown of the seasons/series. This info has to be added to the printout.

Any chance this printout will be modified in th future?

The season is displayed next to the poster in the case of an existing video, but it's not displayed in the case of an owned video. It's a bug. I don't know if I'll have time to fix it for the next update, which is imminent.

This bug is now fixed with version 3.13.
