Hi Hector,

I´m curious when some of the requested options mentioned in older posting
will be implemented ? The latest real update seen has been about 2 months
ago,..
Version 3.0 (JUL 21, 2011)
------------------------------
[NEW] added 100 movies & series
[NEW] much improved interface
[NEW] barcode scanning
[NEW] cover art for your owned videos
[NEW] new database structure
[NEW] OS native controls

I hope you still want to add :
1) Scalable fonts
2) HTML output
3) adding links to other movie-info websites
4) Search option Location or keyword: (to find all movies on a specific HDD)
now i only see "-any location" as option. Somekind of input field would be nice

grtz

[i]Version 3.0 (JUL 21, 2011)

Version 3 has introduced lots of bugs, and I've spent a lot of time fixing them. The rest of my time I've used to work on the Mac version of Coollector.

Now that there's (hopefully) less bugs to discover and fix, and as soon as the Mac version is released, I'll be able to work on new features again.

1 and 2 are towards the top of my todo list.

3 is towards the bottom.

I've never thought of adding a feature like that. The location filter works only for the locations that are not HDD locations. Are you sure that this feature would be really useful ? Please explain in what context it would be.

That's a problem. It doesn't fit with how the whole filtered search works.

Hi Hector,.

The location search is important to me because the movies on HDD
change on regular base (remove old movies - inserd new ones) and
the chance that a HDD stops working is always there,....

Now i only have Coollector to find out witch movies where on the
crashed HDD !! So for example output : All movies on HDD_4 would
be the solution.

Also i have to delete ALL movies from database by hand, an option
to delete all movies from a specific location would make live easier :-)

I think i´m not the only movie-lover with 6 HDD´s and growing, so location
is an important issue.
----

The add link option @ the bottom of you're list :cry2:
The movie desciption of the site u use is terrible, it´s filled with useless
actor info and hard to read, the plot is what i want to read, all other info
is already in you´re database for who wants it (actors and IMDB link)

The question is : Do you agree ?

I got the feeling you don´t care alot about the location issue

Of course, I agree. I had never thought about it, that's why I asked you to explain.

It's not that I don't care, it's that I have a million things to do.

Hi Hector,

Pls don´t misunderstand, i fully accept your priorities !

I thougt you don´t see the importance of storage
and the therefore needed options. So i started to
hesitate if it´s still on the to do list !

i´ll wait and see :V:

I know that storage is important.

I frequently ask feeback from the users, because they may have encountered situations that I didn't even think of.

HDD features are important to me too.
Currently have 4HDD's and planning to add 5x2TB HDDs in RAID soon. :D
