I'll use this thread to give you some inside news about the development of Coollector.

The "earn a license" program is a success.

In 1 month, we've had more character pics contributed than in 1 year.

If we continue at this pace, we'll soon have an impressive database of character pics :w00t:

What I particularly like about "earn a license", it's that people without money can use Coollector anyway.

The next version of Coollector will be released on the 29th (when the Mac App Store will accept submissions again).

This new version will allow to skin the program (change how it looks).
This skin feature is more work than I expected, but a first beta will be ready early next week :excited:

For windows too???

By the way a friend of mine was planning to upload some character pics (probably mostly animations) I'll be sure to remind him.

Yep. It's the holiday. I will spend some time with my family.

The rest I will spend refining the new skin feature.

I'm visiting my family, and happen to have less time to work than I expected :worried:

The beta should be available on Sunday...

The more I work on the skins, the more I realize how much I had underestimated the complexity of the task.

The result should be great, but I have no idea when I'll finish.

Probably not in time for the next version :worried:

I wish that 2012 will be a great year for everyone !

I'm not Nostradamus, but I predict that this year will bring lots of great improvements to Coollector :w00t:

:nono: Hector, I don't think it counts as a true prediction if you say that it will happen then work your ass of for the next year to make sure you're right. That's cheating :sorry:

What's better ? Do you suggest that I shouldn't work my ass off to improve Coollector ?

Of course not, you do a very good job :) . What i meant to say is that there's no way for you to lose such a bet since you are able to 'make your own luck' :D .

The skin system is taking shape :excited:

With my cousin Stef, we're about to experiment with some themes.

We are not artist, so it won't be very refined, but the potential is very exciting :V:
