Still working hard on the skin system. It'll be even more ambitious than we originally planned. It'll be amazing !

I'm working so hard on the skin system that I don't really have time to actually create any skins.

On the contrary, my cousin Stef is completely addicted to this new feature.

Even though it's still rough and buggy and unfinished, he's been able to do some interesting experiments.

 I see great potential. I'm just dying to get a closer look.

On thing i'd like though is the option to use a single large image for grid backgrounds instead of a tiled background, this could come in very handy for some designs.

Is it possible to email me a complied portable version? It doesnt need to work id just like a look at the image files and settings used do i can start preparing designs.

:( :worried: The bad part is that now isnt the best time for me. Exams plus my computer keeps crashing (currently have to be using my backup Kubuntu) and also my graphic designing partner's laptop is out of service until maybe mid summer. Hopefully i can find time to format soon cause i'm really itching to get started. My schedule frees up in less than a week. :D

Unfortunately, that won't be possible, for performance reasons.

I draw the grid in a bitmap that I scroll as needed. If new cells become visible, I draw only those cells. If the background was fixed, I'd have to redraw the entire grid, even if it's scrolled by only 1 pixel. The scrolling would become awful (wasn't easy to make it smooth).

I'm sorry, I still need a few more days to be ready for a public beta.

Good luck for your exams, may the force be with you !

This has happened to me in the past. In my case, it was a defective RAM.

I'll make some research to see if I can make it work by using transparency...

I'm sorry that I still haven't released the public beta of the skin system.

Last week hasn't been much productive, as I am just recovering from the flu.

3 weeks, and the program is still "waiting for review". The Mac App Store review process is a PITA :x

Yep! In a little more than 12 hours from now.

I'll use those 12 hours to make work as many things as possible. There'll still be many things that won't work fine, or that won't work at all, but you should be able to start creating your own skins.

I'll regularly give you new versions as I improve the system. But yes, it all starts today, and it's a revolution 8)
