Been trying to update my data base of program updates and movies for two plus weeks now. I've gotten the price updates just fine, but on the program/movie data it goes for awhile on the 55,555Kb that I show listed, then stops anywhere from 500 to 8,000 Kb, and freezes my computer. If I just let it sit, I eventually get an error message that the site isn't available.

Never had a problem in the three years I've been using this, but I really need help now

V.3.23.4
Running Windows 7 64 bit
Tried last night again after making this post, went to 3592 of 55555, then locked. After about 10 minutes or so came up with "Sorry An Error Occured"

Please forget the last post, right after making it I tried to update again and this time it went through just fine, as in the past. Sure it's something with my computer and I appreciate you taking the time to try and help me figure this out.
Just one of those many mysteries of the computer I guess, but all is good and if I have a problem in the future I'm sure you will be here to help.

I'm glad that your problem is solved :)

If your computer happens to act weird again, the easiest solution to update is to install the new version (don't uninstall the old version before, just install the new version).

Last night I tried to update again, and ran into the same problem as last time, 59,000 for the update, locked up at 57,000, ugh. But being stuborn, or so my wife says, I tried to remember what I did last time when I got it to work.

So, I reset my computer by shutting it down for 15 minutes, then started it back up. Like a lot of people I almost always have something running in Utorrent, so I shut it down and ran the update again with no problem.

This problem might be unique to me and my system, but I doubt it, so if others ever have this problem, you might want to have them try this fix to see if it works for them.

Again, thanks for your help and for your wonderful program.

I had a similar problem because of hard disk errors. :(

I had to download the setup file to a portable drive and install from that instead. I hope your problem is nothing like mine.
