I don't think that it's a bug. Listing your playable movies requires the media type filter (with the value "{video files}"). When you scan your video files, the filtered search will automatically show the result by displaying your playable movies, thus adding the media type filter if it's not already shown. And when you'll close the program, it'll remember what filters were displayed.

of course it's a video file That's the idea of the whole program it's just annoying to remove multiple times a day.

think about is there movies in gif jpeg or txt.

media type shouldn't come up every now and then it should be like country or any other filter if i want a lest of video type then i add video type as avi,mp4 or mkv etc/

I'm afraid you haven't understood what I said.

It's normal that scanning your video files will make appear the media type filter (to show the result of the scanning).

Does it happen even when you don't use the scanning feature?

Are you saying the media type filter reappears even when you don't make a scan?

Is it the same with the other filters?

Does the program remember your other settings, like the last movie that was displayed, or the windows position?

Do you have this problem only with this filter?

Does the program remember your other settings, like the last movie that was displayed, or the windows position?

Do you have a Mac or a PC?
