Coollector is even better than I realised now that it is set up correctly

wxWidgets, I apologize for having blamed you... I was wrong :sorry:

Until now, I had never been able to test Coollector with an AFP-connected drive, but according to the feedback from a couple of users, I had assumed that the scanning feature didn't work with AFP. Today, I have connected 2 Macs with a FireWire cable, and mounted the shared drive with AFP. And to my big surprise, the scanning feature works perfectly!!!

I conclude that Coollector works fine with AFP, even though a few users can have problems, problems that are mysteriously solved by connecting with Samba instead of AFP...

Coincidently, Maverick has just been released (it a free upgrade!) and it's supposed to give up AFP in favor of Samba.

This is clear very far from being your problem, so your help is very much appreciated.

I am in good shape, I can switch manually to smb at will.

I think I've fixed the bug and you won't have to switch to samba anymore :w00t:

Please try this version and tell me if it works:
