However, from an END USER perspective, I would do it the opposite way.

Please stop saying that I'm just a programmer. I'm an end user myself. In fact, I'm probably the person who uses the program the most. I watch tons of movies and series, and as a movie lover I can't imagine living without Coollector.

But I appreciate your feedback. I have listened to it, and I think that it has led to an improvement. Now I'm willing to listen to you even more. Please explain to me what frustrates you, what are the things that you'd like to do but can't, etc... I need you to explain, because I don't see any problem right now.

I just edited my post! :D :D I think I mis read what you were saying and I apologize. Too much coffee I think!! I would never say "just a programmer" because I admire programmers. I didn't have the skills to retain the information my very first intro class years ago, so I'm not a programmer. I'm a manager but I work with writers/programmers. I admire the skill.

If our conversation has added to your product, then this was a good thing! If you ever come to Austria, I'll buy you a beer.

When I download the zip, is it a DMG file?

Oh yes, it was, thank you! I like the improvement to the string search. There are many cases where it comes very handy.

With pleasure :D

(except for the beer... I can't stand the smell and taste of beer and wine)

When you download the zip, Safari unzips it and you have the app in your downloads folder. You can run it from there, or move it to anywhere you want.

Ok, so I downloaded, unzipped and opened Coollector. The new prediction game popped up, I closed it, then went to do a search by title for "The Hunt For Red October." and I saw to the lower right of the box, two white input boxes, but I couldn't read what they were for? After I magnified, I could see that there were words, but I could barely read them. A Mac/Mavericks issue? Or a color blind old man issue?

It's my fault. It's a Coollector bug. I had only tested on Windows. Thank you very much for reporting this problem!

The first checbox is "rated", and when you'll click it, it'll only remain the movies that you've rated. The second checkbox is "owned"...

For the sake of all that makes sense in the world I'm hoping you like cheese and have a curly moustache...

Are you asking if I'm a mouse? Is it a reference to the movie Ratatouille?

Nope. Just hoping that you aren't deceiving yourself into thinking you're french... French people like cheese, wine, bread and curly moustaches... You not liking wine is a bad sign indeed. :worried:

Do you offer downloads to fix this little thing or do you wait until you have a bundle of things you've repaired to release a fix?

It seems like a little thing, but in fact it's a real nightmare. On Mac, when I apply SetForegroundColour() to the checkbox, the label is still displayed black, even though GetForegroundColour() says that the new colour has been applied. No problem on Windows...

I've written a workaround where the checkbox doesn't have any text, and the text is drawn by the background. Worked fine on Windows, but on Mac I was amazed to see that the checkbox, even without text, hides the text that was drawn in the background. Because I had to release version 4, I've been forced to completely remove the feature from the Mac version.

Now, I will try to draw the text in a window above the checkbox. It's not trivial because the background of that window must fit exactly with the real background.

Godamm little thing :shout:

Very cool! I can't wait to use it. I was just sitting here with my girlfriend and she asked what comedies I had..... I was just going to impress her with my "organized" library, but you've taken the feature off just at the wrong time! I'll wait to roll out coollector next time she asks as I'll probably have the update by then :D

Looking forward to it.
