Re: Find association with missing files (erases all links)

Yes Thank you, it seems the issue is kinda solved. the scan this time only found 212 missing files and I think that's due to changes I made to file names while was trying to resolve this issue.

I will re-associate and clean scan one more time, if I found any problem will let you know, otherwise Truly thank you for such great program and excellent support.

Best Regards

looks like there is one new issue that was not there before, as you see in the attached picture, I get this result every time when scanning for missing links. I did the full process by allowing it remove the missing files, then it finds them when doing new scan and adds them fine, plus the links are playable when clicking on play icon. but again when doing a scan for missing files I get the exact result as you see in the picture?

other questions:

1- the solution you provided with the use of new .exe , does it solve the drive letter issue even if it changed later ?

2- can I update when you release new version ?

As per pic attached, coolector counters shows as follows:

Owned = Playable but 300 less than Already Associated?
which the Already associated count is the actual number should be of movies.
unless the owned / playable reflects the Titles count only (counting 2 or more copies of a movie as one title), then it could be correct.

or unless coolector does not recognize .flv files?

Thank you very much for reporting this residual bug!

I think it'll be easy to reproduce, and (hopefully) easy to fix too. I'm now going to bed, but I should have a new version tomorrow.

Yes. When a file is found missing, the program tests the other drive letters.

Solomon wrote:2- can I update when you release new version ?

Of course!

That's probably correct. The scanning window counts the video files, while the filtered search counts the movies.

Thank you greatly for prompt reply.

I have one suggestion that makes coolector the complete and perfect solution for any type of movies / video collecters and even most valiable not only for IMDB DB listing Market , but the biggest data base too (worldwide) collectors and US / international localities that not in IMDB DB, not mentioning documentaries, shows, etc.
The suggestion I have is to allow for adding files / movies that's not in the database.
Thanks

It's on my todo list, but at the very bottom of it. I can't even guarantee that it'll ever happen :sorry:
