Post subject:  Strange caracters when exporting

Hi, first of all
I love your program, it's amazing.
I made a list of owned videos, some 720 videos I own.
Now when I export to a txt file, I noticed a lot of strange characters in it.
Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks

I think it's not a problem with the text file itself, but with the text editor that you use to read it.

The text editor must be able to read characters encoded with UTF8. If your text editor is setup to read UTF8, the file will look ok.

What program did you use? Notepad?

Notepad is too basic to handle unicode characters.

You should use Wordpad instead.

Or you could install Notepad++ which is excellent and free.

Will try with Notepad++, because Wordpad produce same result.

Nope :worried:

The problem doesn't happen on my computer. I've asked mfilmofil if the problem also happened with the online publishing, but I got no answer...

Kakashi, how is it your computer? Do you have this bug?

Same for me.No problem found.

I have a suggestion for "mfilmofil".Just allow this file "Reset Notepad Default" and I hope it will fix all your notepad issues.

I have no news from mfilmofil, but he told me that he had the same problem with Wordpad and with Notepad++. He has sent me the txt file, and I could see the problem even on my computer.
