I used the above option
I chose the directory to search in
it found movies
it asked me what language should it use

That is it...the program at this point commits suicide

Is it better?

:worried:

You could make the test with an empty coollection...

1) you locate your coollection file with the menu "Help->Locate my coollection file".

2) you close Coollector (necessary).

3) You rename your coollection file by adding something at the end of it, for example ".bak".

4) you launch Coollector again.

If you discover that the problem isn't related to you coollection file, then you could test the scanned files by creating a folder where you'll copy only one of the files and try to scan it. By adding more files you should find the one that causes the problem.

After doing those testings, of course you'll get your data back by renaming your coollection file to its original name.

Good luck!

Sorry it's not the coollector file. it's the program itself.
I had problems with diffrent coollector files.

It's not the movies I'm trying to add since I tried more than one directory

Cool, we're making progress.

When I scan files on my computer, there's no problem. No other user has reported a problem either.

We need to determine what makes your situation special.

Please give me an example of file name and location.

You're really sure that you've tested the version that I gave you the link? It's not an old version. It's the next version and it fixes a bug that could explain your problems...

The current version is 4.7.8
The version you gave me is 4.7.7 (at least this is what is written when I run it...)
and yes I'm sure to the results since I checked it.

Good catch!!!

There has been a problem when I've uploaded the file to the server.

Please try this link:

http://www.coollector.com/Coollector.zip

I'm confident that it should work. Fingers crossed...

Sorry to disappoint

I tried the latest version of (it showed v4.7.8 )

the problem is still there

as I wrote before the problem happens when it already discovered the files after it asks for the language and actually has to add the files then the program crashes

That's too bad :(

Well, I will send you a debug version which will create a crash dump. Will take a little time.
