I tried it twice then rebooted and tried it again. Finally, I downloaded it again. Same message. My antivirus software did not like it, but I instructed it to let the debug program run.

I'm not 100% sure, but from the error message, it seems that the app is allowed to run but not allowed to access the database file. What's your antivirus? Does it help if you copy this exe file next to your default Coollector.exe?

Nortons and Malwarebytes.

Both at the same time? It's not recommended to have 2 antivirus because they can conflict.

Also, Norton has a bad reputation. In my opinion, it seems likely that all your problems come from your 2 antivirus. You can't run the debug version because they don't allow it to access the disk, and the normal version crashes randomly when it scans your disk probably because they prevent it from accessing some folders. It may happen that the scanning algorithm stumbles on a file name, but here it doesn't seem to be the case.

Put the path of the Debug file in the exclusion list of both anti viruses.

It is recommended to keep only one antivirus installed at a time. I would like to recommend you to install Avast Free Antivirus. It works perfectly for me and saves me from any disaster. :V:

From what I've understood, it's more complicated. The app runs but it can't access some locations on disk. Maybe because of a bad setting, maybe because of a conflict between the two antiviruses.
