What's the path of the drive? Are you sure it's not just a file name on that disk which makes the program crash? To check that, please create a folder on this drive called "Test" and in it you put a dummy file called "inception.avi". You scan that folder and you tell me if Coollector crashes or not.

The crash dump won't help me because it was created by the normal version of Coollector. Only a crash dump created by a debug version can be useful.

The JBOD is USB 3.0 connected with the laptop and contains 4 drives. The scan proces finds about 280 movies on the problem drive and then it crashes. I removed the movie where the scanning stops and then the scan proces stops at some other movie.

Please give me the full name and path of a couple of those files you've identified, so I can test on my computer.

Also, have you tried to move one of those files to another drive so we can determine if it's a drive problem (I doubt it) or a file name problem (more likely in my opinion).

,...

first the scan stopped at some point, i removed this movie, than the next scan stopped at
movie xxx each time i remove the movie scanning stops at the movie before the one i
removed.....at the end i removed 4 movies and the scan continues, added 900
movies.

Tried scanning the same drive again, the result : crash after crash.
Then i removed another 3 movies, the last one was "Red Dog", after
i removed this movie scanning is 100% for 3 or 4 times.

I stop coollector and start it again, make a new scan of this drive and :

Also moved recoil to another drive, the next scan stopped at movie 344

Hi Hector, you may close this topic. One of my drives had a bad sector. This must have been the drive i have been scanning...
