Is anyone else experiencing an auto-update loop? When I open the app, it downloads the latest version (4.14.4 Mac) and prompts me to install it, and after I do, it does the same thing again.

Thank you very much for reporting that issue. I'm sorry I've made a stupid mistake when I've released the Mac version (I was in a hurry after having discovered a crashing bug). The problem will disappear when the new version is available (should be in a couple of days).
