Don't know what happened, but it shouldn't be a problem thanks to the backups that the app creates automatically.

You have to restore your last backup.

the only way to get my collection was to go to the backup dir and double click the last backup with a normal size
the problem is I exited the program when I entered again the my owned videos were 1
there is also a debug.log if you wish to view

You can open a coollection file by double cliking it. This way you can have several coollection files on your computer.

But when you launch the Coollector.exe app, it reads the coollection from the default location.

You have to copy your backup to the default location, and rename it to make sure it replaces the default coollection file.

It seems to be about Google Chrome rather than Coollector.

It solved the problem and my owned collection is back.

why the problem was created to begin with ?

all I did today was to update to the latest version.

Chrome couldn't access a file, and it's probably what happened to Coollector too. My guess is that it's your antivirus which is messing things up.

In the case couple of weeks I have encountered the same problem with my data disappearing. I do go ahead and access via the backup, but it is so much more convenient if the correct database version is opened when I open the software. Is there a solution available ?

When you open the software, it opens the default coollection file from the default location.

To know where's the default location, you can click the menu "Help->Locate the coollection file".

Now that you know which file you have to replace, close the app and rename the default coollection file as "MyCoollection.bak".

Finally copy your best backup to the default location and don't forget to rename it as "MyCoollection.cool".

Your backup has now replaced your default coollection file and will be used when you launch the app.
