I've just created a special version to identify the issue of another user:

https://www.coollector.com/viewtopic.php?t=2536&p=25938#p25938

Please run it:

https://www.coollector.com/Coollector_Skavau.exe

and tell me how many numbers it'll display.

Just a detail but when this sort of thing happened to me, uninstalling and then reinstalling did work. So idk how similar this is.

Uninstalling doesn't delete the coollection file, so uninstalling doesn't solve the problem if it's related to the coollection file.

Fstop said he deleted all the files, did he also delete the coollection file?

I hope he didn't delete the coollection file and the automatic backups but kept a copy of them, it would be a shame if he had lost all his data.

It's very likely that it didn't delete the coollection file. You should check if it's still there. The coollection file is named "MyCoollection.cool" and here are the instructions to locate it:

https://www.coollector.com/help.html#coollection

As I said, if your issue is related to a problem with the coollection file, it's normal that uninstalling didn't solve the problem.

Are you saying that the app launched?

Install the latest version and you should be fine:

https://www.coollector.com/Coollector_4_21_6_Setup.exe

Don't delete anything, just install the latest version.

Have you lost your personal data (rated movies, owned movies, etc...) or is it still there? Hopefully it's there, which would mean that your coollection file wasn't deleted.

Here's how I would explain what happened to you... Several months ago, the app indeed had a serious bug that was fixed immediately with a new version. When you uninstalled and reinstalled several times, you kept reinstalling the buggy version instead of installing the fixed version.

I was worried about shutting down the peogram. and itd back to the same thing. will not load, I tried the program Coollector_Skavau. It did not work, so I went and re-downloaded it to my pc. still it did not open. Is there any way I can get a older copy I can download and use. I so love this program. there is nothing out there that even come close to this.. Is windows 11 posable the issue with the program or maybe directx 12? I am not even close to being a pc nerd. I am just trying to think of new things windows has installed on to my pc

While it worked, did it show your personal data (watched movies, owned movies, etc...) or was it an empty database?

Did you install the latest version 4.21.6 I gave you the link?

It did not work at all? Not any number displayed? I think it means that an instance of Coollector was still running in the background, preventing any new instance from opening, and you had to either kill it from the task manager or restart your computer.

Here's what I want you to do:
1) restart your computer
2) check whether the version that you've installed is now working
3) if it's not the case, install again (don't uninstall anything, just install)
