In the past I've added the movie "Bionicle: Mask of Light" (IMDB tt0369281) and it appears in my coollection. Today I tried to click on it and Coollector ended with a coredump. After several tries with the same result I decided to see if I could add it in again using string search and add from existing.

When I did a string search and got to "Bionicle" + space Coollector ended abnormally again.

So I tried the same string search in an empty DB file and got the same result.

Finally I tried a string search on just "Bionic" + space (e.g. Bionic Woman) and got the same result.

Would be interested to hear if anyone can recreate the "Bionic Bug".

BTW - String searching on "Bionico" + space, as in "El Macho Bionico" does not cause the problem. For the record I don't own that movie but it does have an interesting cover. 8)

I can't reproduce those bugs on my system.

1) if your indexing got corrupted, simply deleting the folder
"My Documents\Coollector\Tmp" would fix the problem.

2) if that doesn't help, please mail me your coollection file at:
hector at coollector dot com, and I'll look if it's corrupted.

That was it. On two machines no less.

Thanks.

Indeed that's bad news. I was convinced that I had fixed this issue and that it could not happen again :worried:

Hi (cool) Hector,

Just out of curiousity I went back and checked this. As it turns out this appears to be part of the "Ordered by: Name" vs. String Search bug that you've just fixed.

I tested a string search using "Bionicle" on the pre-fix version of 2.48 and it causes the same failure as the "Miss" and "From" string searches when left panel is set to "Ordered by: Name".

So maybe the Indexing.dat is stable after all.

I'm preparing Coollector v2.49... Will be ready tomorrow.

Hopefully we'll be finished with those bugs !
