Upgrading problems

I seem to be having problems upgrading. each time the download reaches the end, it just stops, it doen't go to the next stage where it asks to close the program to install the upgrade. All I can do is press the abort button.
The only solution I've found is to download the program from the download page and install it, it then works ok the first time it upgrades, but then it does it again when you release a new version.
The only thing I can thik of from my end is that I've recently changed to windows 7

Now that your problem is solved, there's not much I can do.
