I am having trouble trying to delete a movie in the Owned Movie section. I noticed I selected a wrong title or two when entering movies in the Owned Movies section. Whenever I click on delete in the bottom right of the window a prompt will come up confirming that I want to delete and then the next small window comes up that an error occured and it crashes. Let me know if there are any settings I need to change or patches to install. thanks.

Please send me your coollection file at this address: hector at coollector dot com

(your coollection file is named "MyCoollection.cool" and you'll find it by using the menu help -> locate my coollection file)

Also, please tell me what are the movies you tried to remove.

I could not reproduce your bug, until I realized from your other message that you were probably trying to remove a pack.

And indeed, there's a stupid bug that makes the program crash when trying to remove a pack ! Thank you very much for reporting this bug !

Please replace your current Coollector.exe with this one: http://www.coollector.com/Coollector.exe
and tell me if the problem is fixed.

Hector i did email the files to you on July 8th to hector at coollector dot com with additional questions. The link you gave me still did not fix the problem. If you did not receive it or if I did it wrong please let me know. thanks.

I have perfectly received your mail and I have answered immediatly. In fact, I was surprised that you didn't answer back. Probably my mail went into your spam box.

Here was your mail:

Hector,

I hope I did this right. The movie I tried to delete is The Big Sleep 1978.

It still crashed after I downloaded the link you gave me and restarted the program.

If you are able to resolve this is there a way to remove or delete all of the pack information I entered so I can use the "location" filter as you have suggested.

I hate to have to enter the movies all over again but I will if that is the best way to handle it.

Also, I lost my icons to select Help (?) etc in the narrow vertical box between the panels.

thanks

Tony

And here was my answer:

That's not normal, it doesn't crash for me with the new version.

Please close Coollector. Then download again

http://www.coollector.com/Coollector.exe

and copy it to erase your current Coollector.exe (should be inside "Program Files/Coollector").

It's possible to extract the movies from the packs, and turn them into normal videos:

Go to the pack description... On the right of each pack movie, there's a minus button. If you click it, you have the choice to "remove completely" (not owned anymore) or to "extract from the pack" (still owned, but as a normal video). Of course you'll use "extract from the pack".

It can be rather fast if you use keyboard shortcuts:

1) click the minus button.

2) press the "tab" key twice to give the focus to the "extract from the pack" button.

3) press the "enter" key twice (once to click the button, and once to close the window of the newly extracted video).

I've just modified the interface, because most people found it unusual to have buttons in a narrow vertical box between the panels.

The buttons functionalities can now be found inside the menu bar:

"Movies", "Persons", "Tools" and "Help".

Hector, for some reason your email reply did not go through. But at least you have the answers in your post. I just assumed that you were very busy and didnt get a chance to reply. Thanks for your assistance. I will give it a try later tonight. Tony

I tried to extract the movies from the pack and it encountered an error and closed each time I tried. It would shut down right after I clicked on "extract from pack".

The bug is still alive even with the newest update.
Not all titles, just some.
