As soon as you start typing a search in it freezes then crashes. Here is the info: Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. Any search ? Because it doesn't crash on my computer... Please send me your coollection file and I'll see if it crashes with it. Select the menu "Help->Locate my coollection file" and mail me "MyCoollection.cool" at this address: hector at coollector dot com |

i haven't used Coolector in a while (couple of months) and when i opened and updated to 2.99.2 today, the program no longer works. it opens, but then does nothing. anything i try to click on (owned videos, etc) results in program not responding and i have to close thru task manager. i did this about six times this afternoon and each time it asked if i want to send report, i choose yes. |

Ooop, sorry, forgot that the program freezes for you... MyCoollection.cool is inside the folder "My Documents\Coollector\". |

Thank you very much for reporting this bug ! To fix the problem, please replace your Coollector.exe with this one: http://www.coollector.com/Coollector.exe bibliophile85, please try this version too, as you probably suffer from the same bug. |

Coolector appears to be working now, thank you. (although when i did the upgrade earlier, it did work for about 15 minutes, enough for me to play around with some of the layouts, so i'll be very happy if it's still working 16 minutes from now). Thank you. (what was wrong with my file?) |

looking good. i did a couple of searches and it's still working. thank you, and thank you for such a quick reply and fix! amazing "customer" service. (i have products i've PAID for that don't get back to me in a timely, satisfactory manner. thanks again). |

one slight hiccup. now when i click on COOLECTOR icon on my desktop, instead of the program opening, it's asks to RUN the application. so each time i have to run the application to use the program. This is probably a simple fix, but for the life of me i can't figure it out. |

It's a Windows thing. What Windows do you have ? XP, Vista or 7 ? Is there a checkbox "Always ask before opening this file" that you could uncheck ? Did you just copy "Coollector.exe" to your desktop ? Or did you replace the previous one in the folder where you installed Coollector, probably "Program Files\Coollector\" ? The last solution would be to install the program again (not need to uninstall before) from this location (which includes the bug fix): http://www.coollector.com/Coollector_Setup.exe |

Yes, and i did uncheck it. i guess it was always running when i clicked icon, but i just wasn't seeing it. so basically, it's "fixed." Did you just copy "Coollector.exe" to your desktop ? Or did you replace the previous one in the folder where you installed Coollector, probably "Program Files\Coollector\" ? i had replaced the .exe in Coolector folder when you sent to me. thanks again. |
