Hi Hector.

Just started using your program today & firstly I wanted to say thanks - it's just what I've been after.

I have had a couple of crashes though (running Win7 x86 Ultimate) & I've noticed that the portable version of the program is writing to the user app data folder - a dump & an xml file, I believe.

Personally I don't really mind as I use virtualization, but some peeps get kind of fanatical about these things.

Regards,

Me :)

PS - Off topic, but as I keep all my movies on an external HDD (like many people, I expect) & I never really know whether the HDD will be mounted on Windows, Linux or on a Mac, do you have any plans to release a cross platform program which would enable me to use Coolector regardless of which OS my HDD is mounted on? (I imagine my question is far more easily posed than programmed...)

If you can make the program crash easily, please tell me, and I'll send you a debug version to determine what's wrong.

You're right, the crash dump is written in the app data folder. I don't know if I can't change that, and I'm too busy right now to look into it.

We're working on a Mac version.

Cheers for the quick reply!

Coolector's only crashed on me a couple of times when I've been editing information. If I see it happen a bit more. If it does I'll happily take a de-bugging version to help you work out what's going on.

And, back to my off topic part, I suppose it'll run in Linux under WINE? Can't stand anything Apple myself, but that's even further off topic!

Thanks Hector....

One or two years ago, I was told that Coollector worked fine with Wine. I don't know if it's still the case.

Maybe one day we'll make a native port to Linux, but it's far from sure (not enough users).
