Instead of the error message "changes could not be saved", it will display a message with 6 numbers.

I made the test with http://www.virustotal.com/

and indeed Antivir detects a problem. I suppose it's yet another false positive (I'm having a nightmare, I will wake up).

I will compile again, this time as "release" instead of "debug". The signature should change, and hopefully there'll be no more false positive.

I'll keep you informed when I'll have tested.

More seriously, every time you make a change to your coollection, it gets tagged with 3 new random numbers. This way, I can tell if the coollection was modified from another computer, in case you're sharing your coollection on a network.

The 3 zeros are wrong. They are the cause of our problems...

This is astonishing because I don't use Coollector for my personal collection but only as a kind of dictionary.
So I don't change the coollection... Or are there changes because of just looking to the program...

Please replace your Coollector.exe with this one:

and the bug should be fixed.

If you want to switch back to the normal version, don't forget to transfer your coollection file, and maybe also the pictures that you've downloaded while using the portable version.

It's not your fault, it's bug that was triggered by the conversion of your coollection from the version 2 structure to the version 3 structure.

Should be fine with the version I sent you, isn't it ?

But after installing the normal version and starting Coollector the first time, I still get the other error message I've posted (but only once - so it is not a real problem).

Are there any advantages to use the normal version instead of the portable one?

With the normal version, you can have several coollection files on your computer.

"cool" extension is associated with Coollector, so you just have to click a .cool file to read it.

It's particularly convenient if you exchange your coollection with your family and friends.
