i have the 24 tv series and it associates with the movie...
24 7: Twenty Four Seven (1997)

Are you using the latest version of the program ? Did you update to version 2.96 ?
Because normally this bug should be fixed with version 2.96.
I just made the test with a video file named "24 s01e01.avi", and it was correctly associated with the tv series.
