I've made the test and it works fine if your file name includes the year. If there's no year at all, the file is associated with the most popular result.

Are you sure those files were scanned by the latest version 4.9.9.4?

My guess is that they were scanned with a previous version that contained a bug which is now fixed.

Please un-associate those files, scan them again, and tell me if they're still associated with the wrong movie.

You used the latest version only to find duplicate files (files that were scanned we don't know when).

On my side, I've used the latest version to scan the files with the same name as on your screenshot, and they were correctly associated.

Some versions ago, there was indeed a bug that caused some files to be wrongly associated, but this bug is now fixed.

I see,...

Just removed the King Kong movies from database and scanned them
again. Now they are added correctly...
I'll create a new database from scratch, have all drives connected at the moment

As you like, but is it really worth it?

You don't rate any movies or tag them or maintain a wish list or anything? If you do and just want to remove the file associations, you can use the tool "Manage your video files->Batch delete several file associations".
