Great ... I was gonna ask the same question :D
Could you also make it possible to tag a whole list ? ...that would be quite useful

I understand the need, but I think that using tags is the wrong approach. Instead, I plan to allow you to define some sets of filters, give them the name you want, and easily invoke them. For that, I'll add a new button "Custom Searches" to the filtered search.

I've added it with the new version 4.1.7

When you select "import a list of movie titles", the program asks you if you want to add as owned or as wished.

I'm not sure about that so let me give you an example: for instance I have a list of Oscar winning movies in txt and I want to import it and tag all of these movies in this list as Oscar winning instead of tagging every single one of them... so what is the right approach for this?

Indeed, I hadn't understood what you wanted to say.

Ok, now I understand. Sorry, I don't plan to add such an import feature. But I do plan to add an awards feature to Coollector.

In that case could you make it possible to tag all the movies in the wished list? so I would import a list as wished then tag it... otherwise I should start tag movies one by one.
the award feature would be great but I want to tag movies other than award winning... like the AFI Greatest 100 MOVIES, the 1001 MOVIES YOU MUST SEE BEFORE YOU DIE, the top 100 horror movies of all time and many other list I have.

I'm sorry, I don't understand why you would create a list to import it afterwards.

Suggestion:
When importing as owned or wished, ask what tags to apply to the new the movies.

- Then there would be no need to go through all that. He could import a list while tagging all the added movies as 'top 100 horror' etc.

:( I'm not really sure if that makes as much sense as i think it does though since i can't use coollector right now. It's installed on an external drive left at home.

Yes, I think that what you describe is what ramfallen is asking for, but I'm reluctant to implement such a feature because I don't understand the need to complexify the program for that.
