Just wondering if there is a way to export my owned movies to a file I can open with Excel in OpenOffice on my Mac? I exported the list as XML, TXT and JSON. Non of them will open in Excel. How can I print a list of my owned movies in columns with the selected fields?

I haven't used Excel in years, but I'm surprised that you can't import from XML. In my mind, it's a fundamental.

If I search for "excel import xml" on Google, I get many results...

What about this one?

That web page is for Excel on a Windows computer. I'm using OpenOffice on a Mac.

I thought it would be very similar on a Mac, but if it's not the case, you just have to add "mac" to your Google search.

I won't teach you how to use Excel as I don't use it myself. But there's no doubt that Excel can import XML.

I just figured it out. OpenOffice on a Mac has a spreadsheet application built in called Calc. It is not Excel. It does open and save .xls files though. OpenOffice does not open or import xml files. I had to convert the xml file to xls first, then OpenOffice will open it. The following website converts the file online:

I'm a bit surprised that it's so complex :?
