Hi Hector,

when using the Kodi library (i use this for as long coollector does not support Android "arm"),
i have the abillity to select the IMDB or TMDB and the preferred language to display the plot.
I know i can add my own plot, problem is : I wont be able to add all of them in a live time.

Is it possible to add (only for the plot) the option to choose between IMDB / TMDB and
making it possible to select the preferred language to show this.

We maintain our own database. Most of the time the plot in Coollector is different from the IMDb plot.

For the moment our database is English only. I do plan to add more languages in the future, but it won't happen soon.

I'm sorry to hear that... :-(
I think the used English plot, is terrible to understand.

I'm eager to support more languages, but as you can imagine it's a lot of work and can't be done overnight.

Hi Hector,

is it possible to automaticly import movie plots from some given websites ?
I know copy and paste wil do the trick, but that's a lot of work.

Maybe the option to insert a link to the site where i can read the plot in my language, for now.
Also make it possible to copy the movietitle from coollector with ctrl-c

could you aply one of those options ?

You can start it by asking the contributors to contribute translation. (Same as google translation contribution).

Maybe this way, your work will boost up. 8) 8) 8)

I don't think it's possible to make it automatically. You have to make a title search on the given website, then select the right result. And when you've finally found the page, it's simpler to copy-paste the plot rather than relying on an automatic process that could fail if the website changes the structure of its pages...

I know that you want plots in other languages than English. I plan to add that to Coollector... someday.

Ctrl-c no, but right-click menu with the option "copy".

Of course user contributions will be welcome, but I'm not there yet. I'll have to maintain separate databases for each language, and that part alone will require a lot of programming.

Taking my time doesn't mean that I'm lazy. I can assure you that I work intensely. But being alone doing everything, well, things take longer than I'd like :(
